House of Mercy

The House of Mercy is your home away from home during a medical crisis, treatment, or procedure at the hospital. It is not a hotel, but a house shared by family members and caregivers of patients receiving medical care at Mercy Memorial Health Center. Guests of the House of Mercy must live outside of Ardmore, Oklahoma. It’s a place of comfort for a peaceful night or if you just need a shower and a place to lie your head down for a few hours of rest. Guidelines have been established for the comfort, support, and safety of all guests. Guests with special medical needs and those requiring personal attention or supervision must be accompanied by a caregiver. The House of Mercy is a safe, secure, peaceful, caring environment within walking distance of the hospital, restaurants, and shopping.

Check-ins

  • Check-ins are accepted 24 hours a day. Guests are assigned a room on a first come, first served, space-available basis. Room requests will be placed on a waiting list for that date. Due to the unpredictability of hospital discharges, room availability cannot be guaranteed or reserved in advance.

Cost

  • Attempting to maintain nominal room rates, families are asked to contribute a suggested donation of $25 per night, which includes towels, bedding, and a light continental breakfast. If the $25 per night fee is a hardship for your family, please talk to the House of Mercy supervisor. Cash, checks, or credit cards are accepted.

  • Housekeeping services are provided and included in fees. Daily payment or other arrangements may be made with the House of Mercy supervisor.

Facility

  • The House of Mercy is handicap accessible.

  • Bed and bath linens are provided.

  • Bedrooms do not have televisions, but a television with cable access is available in the sitting area.

  • Guests may bring groceries and cook their own meals in the fully-equipped kitchen. Guests are responsible for cleaning up after themselves. Food and beverage are allowed in the dining room and kitchen only.

  • A washer, dryer, iron and ironing board are available.

  • A telephone with long distance service is available. Guests share a phone, so please be considerate.

  • Transportation to and from the hospital is provided by hospital security in an emergency.

  • Free wireless internet is available.

If you have a family member or loved one in the hospital and wish to stay at The House of Mercy, call (580) 224-9699.
