“I felt so good after my robotics surgery that five
weeks after it, I ran a 5K,” said 36-year-old Edmondite Michelle Gau.
“And you have to understand that I’ve never been keen on exercise. I’ve
always hated to sweat, but after my surgery, I felt better than I’ve
ever felt so I started running.”
Michelle, mother of a 6- and 8-year-old who also
travels some 5,000 miles around the state each month as a pharmaceutical
sales rep, said she didn’t have time to be out of commission for a
traditional hysterectomy.
“I’m very active and I’ve got things to do. I didn’t
have the time to be down six weeks,” she said. And while her work
allotted her six weeks off after her hysterectomy, she was back in the
game within two weeks. |
